Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Review: Design
The earbuds come in a miniature case that is very lightweight and pocketable with a USB type-c charging cable and the charging port at the back of the case.
There is the Samsung logo in the centre along with a tiny led that indicates battery level upfront but the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones still support wireless charging and a good thing is with the S20s, you can place the case on the back to boost the power.
You can get the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones in three different colours either in mystic bronze, black or white.
For the earbuds, there is a 12-millimetre AKG speaker that sits behind the two air vents, and in between, you have your touch-sensitive sensor that knows when it is in your ear and just above that, you have the charging contacts, and at the back, there are the microphones.
The earbuds slip into your ear canal comfortably and do not protrude out compared to most earbuds that have droopy bits seeping out of each ear.
It also comes with a different rubbery wingtip which helps to hold them in place, although there is no actual rubbery tip that goes into your ear canal and the part that actually pumps out the sound rests outside your ear canal, so nothing goes into your inner ear.
Despite the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones mostly being a hard shell, they are actually really comfortable to wear all day and very lightweight so you do not have to worry about any part cutting into your flesh.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Review: Performance
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones have no problems with connectivity when you want to pair them with other devices.
If you are pairing with your Android device for the first time, a message will pop up on your screen asking you to pair with the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones or if you are using an iPhone or any other device that does not pop up the message you can enable the connectivity in the Bluetooth settings of your device.
The auto pause feature only works when you pull out both of the buds out of your ears, not just earbuds, and then it will auto-pause whatever you are listening to, but regardless, it is still comfortable to leave them in and have a conversation with anyone.
The touch controls work pretty well when you touch and hold them; you can activate the active noise cancelling feature.
You can pause and also resume whatever you’re listening to with a quick tap; you can double-tap to skip a track and triple-tap in order to go back a track.
You can also easily use the Samsung galaxy wearable app that is available on any app to check the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones.
With the app, you can also play around with the equaliser or activate the Find My Earbuds feature, which works just fine. You can configure more touch controls or deactivate them totally for your earbuds on the app.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Review: Battery life
The battery life gives you around 5 and a half hours of non-stop use from the buds with the active noise cancellation turned on and around seven and a half hours with the active noise cancellation turned off.
Sound Quality
The sound quality supports an incredible bass sound, but it does not drown out the rest of the sound because you can still pick up on some of the finer details, especially on the calmer and ambient tracks.
The classical music comes through as clear and crisp as the dance music with a more energetic tune and would get you bouncing or podcasts and audiobooks with clear vocals, almost like you are being whispered to.
However, the audio quality does not drown out background noises. When you listen to your favourite podcasts, you can hear almost every conversation around you, which can be very annoying and distracting.
However, Samsung has added active noise cancellation to the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones but like other true wireless earbuds that do not have a proper rubbery tip like the Huawei free buds, it does not really drown out surrounding noise.
The call quality is decent because you have 3 mics, 2 on the outside and 1 on the inside, which helps to pick up your voice while also filtering out background noise so you can have a conversation in a noisy area, but you would have to speak loudly and clearly.
Pros
- Good sound quality
- Lightweight and easy to carry around
- Wireless charging
Cons
• Background noise

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones are decent earphones that may be worth buying depending on your preference or what you need from an earphone. They offer a great combination of sound quality, comfort and convenience that makes them an excellent choice for anyone on the go.
The active noise cancellation feature helps to block out background noise, making it much easier to hear your music or take calls in noisy environments. In addition, they have touch controls that are very responsive and make using the earphones a breeze.
The earphones are also incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear, so if you need something to take with you while you’re travelling or just want something that won’t be intrusive while you’re at home, then these are the perfect fit.
