Design

Design

The Honor MagicBook Pro comes with an aluminium chassis, sleek aesthetic, and a minimalist design that gives it a premium look. It weighs 1.7 kg and has a slim bezel of 16.9 mm thick, which makes it relatively portable, despite its large screen size. It has a 4.9 mm thin bezel around the three sides that give a screen-to-body ratio of 90%.

The top of the laptop lid is designed with a small Honor logo in grey colour that gives it nice aesthetics and a stylish design. This laptop is available in space grey colour and is built with custom-made dual fans and heat pipes that keep the laptop cool as airflow keeps increasing.

Keyboard

This laptop makes use of a black chiclet keyboard that is responsive and fast. The keys have short distance travel of 1.2 mm, which are non-clacky, well spaced and positioned nicely for a comfortable typing experience.

This laptop has a two-staged white keyboard backlight which makes it easy and clear to type in a dark room.

A pop-up webcam is found on the keyboard in between the F6 and F7 keys. Although this camera is hidden and protects the lens, the camera’s position gives a bad angle for images and videos, which does not make it suitable for many users.

The power button integrated with a fingerprint is located on the right speaker edge of the keyboard, as well as two speakers on both edges of the laptop.

The plastic surface touchpad is 12 x 7.2 cm large, smooth and simple to use. It comes with multi-touch gestures alongside a screen where different three and four-fingered gestures are enabled.
