Asus VivoBook Max X541SA Laptop Review: Is This Laptop Worth It?

Released in March 2018, the Asus Vivobook Max X541SA laptop is a budget-friendly mid-range notebook that helps save costs. In fact, the Max in the name of this Vivobook stands for maximum cost-saving, but despite the fact that it maximises cost greatly, it is a very efficient PC that comes with a Windows 10 Operating System. 

It is also powered by up to 7th-generation Intel Core processor, gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce graphics, and exclusive SonicMaster audio incorporating ICEpower technology, but that’s not even all the VivoBook X541SA by Asus provides standout audiovisuals to be experienced on a laptop.

Design

The Max X541SA looks metallic from a distance, but the keyboard and lid have a brushed aluminium that comes in different textured finishes with a black underside, but the model is actually made of plastic.

It is available in brushed metal effect finishes in silver gradient, chocolate brown, red, aqua blue, and white. It has a 15.6-inch screen (39.6cm), a weight of 2.0kg and a thickness of 27mm.

  • Tough clicker, which is quite hard to press and loud, especially when you try to double click on the trackpad
  • Narrow viewing angle
  • Some slow ports like the USB type A 
  • Average build quality: Although the design looks like it is metal, it is actually made of plastic which is not very classy, but considering the price, it is passable
  • Not good enough for high-speed gaming and video/photo editing photos. With the Intel HD Graphics 405 GPU, games that are not high-intensive can be played on this laptop.
