The Redmi Note 11 Pro by Xiaomi is an entry-level and mid-range Android smartphone with amazing specs and features like an AMOLED screen and high refresh rates, to name a few. 

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro smartphone is an upgrade from the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Phones in this line-up, like the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, share a brand-new dual-glass design, similar camera experience, improved battery charging, and the latest MIUI 13 operating system.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro has another variant – the Note 11 Pro 5G – which has a different 5G capable chipset. Apart from this distinct feature, everything else is the same. Naturally, the Redmi Note 11 Pro is cheaper than its 5G counterpart, which makes it a more interesting offer if you are not big on 5G connectivity.

Unboxing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro

The phone’s box contains the Redmi Note 11 Pro, a 67 W Adapter, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM eject tool, a transparent protective case, a quick start guide, and a warranty card.

Design

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro has a stylish dual-glass, flat-sided design. It has a thin and flat feel that fits right on the palm, just as slim as the Note 10 Pro, but with a flatter and more angular design. The frame of this phone is made of plastic with flat frames and panels. 

This phone weighs 202 grams and has a thickness of 8.12 mm. It also has a glass back cover, which is barely susceptible to fingerprints. Xiaomi offers the Redmi Note 11 Pro in 3 flat frame standout casing colours which are graphite grey (black) which gives a sophisticated yet powerful vibe; pristine polar white (white), which looks cold yet soft and bold; and star blue (blue) which shines.

Display

The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a 6.67-inch FHD + Super AMOLED Dot Display. The AMOLED screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and a protective film is attached to the screen ex-factory, while the glass back is IP53 certified for dust and splash protection.

The Note 11 Pro has a 120Hz ultra-high refresh rate (the screen refreshes 120Hz per second, therefore whatever it is you’re doing, whether you’re playing games or scrolling through content, the look and feel is smooth and fluid), up to 360 touch sampling rate (gives you a more sensitive and hands-on experience while keeping up with your every move), HDR10, the brightness of HBM 700 nits, 1200 nits peak brightness, a resolution of  1080 x 2400, 20:9 aspect ratio, 395ppi with body dimensions of 164.2 mm x 76.1 mm x 8.12 mm.

It also has a DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, SGS eye care display, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, sunlight display (to enable you to see clearly in bright lights), and reading mode 3.0.

Ports and Interfaces

On the right side of this phone are the volume rocker and power button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. There are no ports on the left side.

On the top is the 3.5 mm jack, speaker, microphone and IR blaster.

Beneath is the second speaker, microphone, USB-C 2.0, and SIM/microSD slot where either two nano SIM cards or one nano SIM and a microSD card can be inserted. The USB port of the Redmi Note 11 Pro runs at USB 2.0 speed.

The back camera, which includes the 108MP main camera, protrudes almost 4 millimetres from the back cover, which makes the phone wobble a bit when placed flat on the back.

Camera

The Note 11 Pro has a front and quad rear camera, the main camera is ultra-wide, and a macro camera with a depth sensor. With this power-packed camera, you’re guaranteed outstanding image quality and ultimate views.

Rear Camera: 108MP Main Camera

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11 Pro packs a 108MP main camera f/1.9 lens that captures 12MP, 6p lens, which records 108 million of detail in 108MP mode, delivering crystal clarity even when magnified several times. With three high-end technologies, Dual Native ISO, 9-in-1 binning technology and a 1/1.52 large sensor size, the camera perform the same at night as in daylight. The night mode on the note 11 Pro means lowlight images come out stunning with no details missed.

The 8MP ultra-wide camera, powered by a Sony IMX 355 sensor with a 118° field of view, has an f/2.2 lens, while the fixed focus Macro Camera, which is 2MP, f/2.4 aperture, gives you more details at a glance using a tiny Galaxy Core GC02M1 sensor (1/5).

The rear camera video recording is 1080p, 1920×1080 at 30fps and 720p 1280×720 at 30fps.

There’s also a 2MP depth camera at f/2.4 aperture.

Front Camera

The 16MP OmniVision sensor measuring 1/3.06 matched with an f/2.4 lens front camera delivers good quality selfie images and clear portrait shots.

For front camera video recording, there is the 1080p 1920×1080 at 30fps and 720p 1280×720 at 30fps.

Apart from the regular shooting modes such as portrait, standard photo, video, night and pro modes, there are some additional modes which include 108MP, short video, document, slow motion, panorama, time-lapse, long exposure and dual video modes.

The low energy consumption and battery capacity help the Note 11 Pro achieve a good battery run time. Xiaomi’s simulated web browsing lasts for around 13 hours, and video playback for around 17 hours. It could last for a whole day with up to 30-40% remaining, while conservative use could last two days. Ultimately, the battery life depends on individual usage. 

The 67W turbocharge works really fast because of the MMT battery technology, which improves charging speeds by running charging channels through the middle of the battery so that it charges from the inside. Also, the cooling technology introduces the liquid cool liquid technology that keeps your device cool while maintaining top-speed charging. These two feature battery and charging technology that helps realise turbocharging speeds.
