Performance of Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 pro

Performance

The Apple iPhone 13 models, including the iPhone 13 & iPhone 13 pro, feature the latest version of the operating system, iOS 15, which promises you advanced features such as redesigned notifications, Safari, Maps, Weather, and Notes app redesigns text recognition in images, added privacy features, “Focus” for minimizing distractions, Spatial Audio and Shareplay in facetime calls etc.

When it comes to battery life, these phones provide an increased battery life, with the battery of the iPhone 13 lasting 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12, thanks to its 3240 mAh capacity.

The iPhone 13 pro, on the other hand, has a 3095 mAh battery capacity and can last 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 Pro. While the iPhone 13 can last for about 11 hours, the iPhone 13 pro can last for 10 hours.

The impressive battery life of these phones is attributed to the power components of the A15 bionic chip present in these phones.

Although the iPhone 13 pro has up to 1TB of storage for photos and videos, the starting storage for the iPhone 13 was also doubled, with a base storage of 128GB that can hold several apps.

Unsurprisingly, the camera of the Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro is excellent, thanks to the A15 Bionic chip that has an improved image signal processor, which produces even clearer images.

While the rear camera of the iPhone 13 has a dual diagonally aligned rear camera setup (wide and ultra-wide lenses), the iPhone 13 Pro features a triple-lens diagonally-aligned camera (wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses) that produces clear pictures.

With the cinematic mode available on both phones, you can record videos with cool, depth-of-field effects.

The operating system, battery life, storage capacity, and cameras are some of the features that give these phones overall outstanding performance.

Durability

When compared to other Apple phones, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are extremely durable, as they are built for daily usage. These phones have an IP68 rating that makes them resistant to water splashes, dust, dirt, and accidental water exposure.

Although intentional water exposure should be avoided, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 pro can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes without being damaged; this means that both phones can be taken to the beach or pool without the worry of damage.

But that’s not even all – with their tough design, accidental falls are not something you should be worried about because they can withstand minor falls without so much as a crack.

However, investing in the Apple MagSafe leather case is recommended because it greatly boosts the durability of these phones.

Despite the fact that these phones are the same in terms of their dimensions, which are 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm (5.78 x 2.81 x 0.30 inches) in H x W x D, they have different sizes.

The iPhone 13 weighs 174grams (6.14ounces), while the iPhone 13 Pro has a weight of 204grams (7.19ounces).

This difference in weight is a result of the make of both phones. While the iPhone 13 is made of aerospace-grade aluminium, the iPhone 13 Pro is built with surgical-grade stainless steel.

Conclusion

Overall, the Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are both great smartphone options with a lot of impressive features. However, in terms of camera quality, the iPhone 13 Pro is the better choice, although at a higher price point.
