Apple to Team Up With Cisco in a new Business Partnership.
Apple Inc. is teaming up with Cisco Systems Inc. to make Apple mobile devices work better with corporate networks using Cisco’s equipment.
The Apple, Cisco partnership announced today, is aimed at helping Apple’s mobile devices communicate more effectively on corporate networks where Cisco equipment’s are widely used.
The Apple, Cisco partnership, is another move to push Apple in expanding sales to business customers.
Cisco Systems Inc. remains the undisputed leader of Enterprise and Cloud Data Networking, capturing over 40% of the revenues and two third of the profits of the industry.
According to Apple press release;
“Ninety-five percent of companies in the Fortune 500 count on Cisco Collaboration and Cisco networks to help their teams be more productive,” said Cisco Executive Chairman John Chambers. “Through this engineering and go-to-market partnership, we’re offering our joint customers the ability to seamlessly extend that awesome Cisco environment to their favorite iOS devices. Together, we’re going to help teams achieve higher levels of productivity and effectiveness.”
The Apple, Cisco partnership also plan to jointly work on technologies that will help workers using iPhones and iPads to be able to better exploit Cisco’s collaboration products, such as Cisco’s video and Web conferencing services that is currently widely use in the corporate networks.
There is no doubt that this Apple, Cisco partnership will surely take both companies to a whole new level.
