Overall
The Anker Soundcore Life P2 earbuds are a great option for those looking for a good pair of earbuds on a budget. They offer decent sound quality, a long battery life, and high-quality sound. However, they are not perfect, and there are some things to be aware of before purchasing them.
One thing to bear in mind is that, there are numerous wireless earbuds available on the market, all claiming to be the best true wireless earbuds on the market. Sometimes it can be challenging to cut through the noise to find the best earbuds that offer incredible sound, a long battery life, and high-quality sound.
However, the high to mid-range market is usually very easy to navigate; you get what you pay for, and when you pay a lot, you usually get a lot in return; however, the budget market is still the wild west, and you have no idea what you are getting when you buy a budget earbud.
It could either be incredible, and you get good value for money, or you get a terrible set of earbuds that feel like an absolute waste of money, and more often than not, you usually get the latter choice.
So, when I saw the new Anker Soundcore Life P2 online going for around $45.99, I knew I had to buy them just to see what they were like, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with what I got, but let me explain because they still aren’t perfect.

Design and Build Quality
The Anker Soundcore Life P2’s design falls somewhere between the original AirPods and the AirPods pro.
That may seem off-putting to some of you, but don’t let that deter you because it is aggressively sleek, lightweight, compact, and very comfortable. All of this adds up to a very good earbud design, but after using them for a while, I discovered that they scratch very easily, so keep that in mind when you buy them.
The button controls fit seamlessly into the curved body of each earbud, and they are very simple to use as each bud has a single button that operates on a simple on/off, pairing, and track skipping functionality. The stalk from the earbuds isn’t very long either, so that’s a plus too.
In comparison to its more sleekly designed counterparts, the carrying case is rather bulky. It does, however, support USB-C fast charging, which compensates for its shoddy design.
Ear Comfort of the Anker Soundcore Life P2 Earbuds
The Anker Soundcore Life P2 earbuds are very comfortable to use, and they fit snugly into your ears, especially with the provision of several silicone ear tips of different sizes, all made to fit every ear hole.
Sound Quality: Anker Soundcore Life P2 Earbuds
The Anker Soundcore Life P2 has surprisingly good sound quality, especially for its price range, thanks to its graphene drivers, which provide an audio boost. However, they are a little light on bass, but the highs are impeccably crisp, retaining all of the detail without sounding brash or overbearing.
I believe these earbuds shine in the mids, where they peak and can really show off the wide range of sound, but I believe they could have done a bit more with the vocals, and the sound staging could use a boost.
However, these earbuds have Aptech’s codex, which gives the audio an absolutely massive sound quality boost, but I do wish they could connect with the Anker audio app so that I could improve the EQ myself, but considering they cost only $45.99, I shouldn’t be too disappointed because, as I previously stated, they aren’t perfect.
Battery Life of the Anker Soundcore Life P2 Earbuds
Anker stated that the Soundcore Life P2 could last up to about 7hrs on a single charge. However, when I tested them out, I got about 6 and half hours of playback time on a single charge which was fairly impressive, to be honest, and I could easily get about 40hrs of playtime when I used the charging case, which also supports USB-C fast charging. So, with only 10 mins of charge, I could easily get about 1hr of use out of them.
All in all, I found myself not needing to actually charge the case for about a week, which was very impressive and slightly unexpected because I thought they wouldn’t last that long, but Anker has put their power bank technology to good use here, and the graphene drivers are also very power efficient so, they make for a very fantastic combo.
Connectivity: Anker Soundcore Life P2 Earbuds Review
The Anker Soundcore Life P2 earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.0, which is very impressive and is on the stronger end. While I was using my Samsung Galaxy S20, I was able to stay connected to them for over 100m, and my connection remained stable across several rooms and through walls. Pairing to them was very quick and easy as the earbuds connected immediately to my device once I turned them on.
Buyers Guide for the Anker Soundcore Life P2 Earbuds
The earbuds originally cost $59.99, but they recently dropped to $45.99, and I expect them to drop even further before they are discontinued. For the time being, we found them in a variety of stores, including Amazon, Target, and Walmart, all of which offered them in a variety of colours. I think I preferred the white ones, but the green ones weren’t bad either.
Are the Anker Soundcore Life P2 Worth it?
The Anker Soundcore Life P2 are a very good pair of budget earbuds. They are waterproof, they have good sound quality, given their price range, and the battery life is superb.
If you can look past the obvious AirPods design language, then they are most definitely worth looking at. I mean, just for the fact that they can last so long and they cost so little, they should be worth it.
Three Alternatives to the Anker Soundcore Life P2 Earbuds
- The Jabra Elite 75t
They are made to last and are very durable, but the sound quality is not the best on the market, meaning there is a trade-off between sound quality and pricing; they also cost $100
- The Airpods Pro
I mean, what can I say about the AirPods Pro. There isn’t much to say about the pacesetters in all premium earbuds; however, these are a bit expensive as they cost about $250.
- The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2
These are the closest competitors to the Anker Soundcore life P2, but I feel the Life P2 has the advantage over the Air 2s in terms of sound quality. The Airs are still a fairly good pair of budget earbuds, and they also cost about $45.99 too.
What are the Pros & Cons of Using the Anker Soundcore P2?
Pros
- Very Comfortable
- Good sound quality
- Very simple to use
- IP7 rated
- Can be used independently of each other
Cons
- Can not connect to multiple devices
- Unambitious sound
- Poor design language
Conclusion
Overall, the Anker Soundcore Life P2 earbuds are a very good pair of stress-free and comfortable earbuds; they sound good and last a long time, which should be enough for anyone looking for a good pair of earbuds at a reasonable price. They are a little limited in terms of uses and features, but for a budget earbud, I don’t mind.
