LG Wins 35 Red Dot Design Awards for 2025 Innovations

LG Electronics has achieved a remarkable milestone, securing 35 prestigious awards at the 2025 Red Dot Design Awards. The recognition, announced on April 23, includes top honours for the company’s groundbreaking Self-Driving AI Home Hub and LG SIGNATURE OLED T transparent TV, solidifying LG’s position as a leader in consumer electronics design innovation.

The LG SIGNATURE OLED T, celebrated as the world’s first wireless transparent OLED TV, received the coveted “Best of the Best” distinction for its revolutionary dual-mode design. This innovative 77-inch display offers users the flexibility to switch between a standard 4K black screen for immersive viewing and a transparent mode that seamlessly integrates with living spaces.

Equally impressive, the Self-Driving AI Home Hub, which previously earned recognition as a 2025 CES Innovation Honoree, garnered acclaim for its sophisticated AI capabilities. The device combines hyper-personalised artificial intelligence with advanced mobility features and emotional interaction capabilities, setting new standards in home automation.

LG’s design excellence extended across multiple categories, with notable achievements in smart home solutions. The LG StanbyME 2 portable display and LG QNED TV series received recognition for their user-centric design approaches. The company’s innovations in UX/UI and packaging also earned accolades, particularly the LG ThinQ 3D Home View for smart home monitoring and ThinQ Character for conversational AI interactions.

Chung Wook-jun, Head of LG’s Corporate Design Centre, emphasised the company’s commitment to user-focused innovation, stating, “We lean into deep customer understanding to deliver human-centred innovations in products, services, and experiences.” This philosophy reflects LG’s 2025 design strategy, which prioritises intuitive accessibility and emotional connection with users.

The awards establish LG as an industry pioneer in combining aesthetic excellence with practical functionality, particularly within smart home ecosystems. The Self-Driving AI Home Hub’s advanced features and the OLED T’s groundbreaking transparency technology demonstrate LG’s ability to push boundaries in consumer electronics design.

Building on this success, LG continues to demonstrate consistent design leadership, following their 36 wins at the iF Design Awards earlier this year. The company’s commitment to innovation suggests a promising future for their IoT ecosystem, with AI-driven devices poised to advance home automation technology further.
