GeForce NOW Unveils Xbox Game ‘South of Midnight’ Launch

NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service GeForce NOW has announced the addition of “South of Midnight,” a highly anticipated Xbox Game Pass title, alongside five other new games to its expanding library. The action-adventure game, developed by Compulsion Games, marks a significant expansion of the platform’s collaboration with Xbox Game Studios.

Starting April 8, GeForce NOW subscribers can stream “South of Midnight” through PC Game Pass, experiencing the mystical adventure set in a reimagined American South. The game follows protagonist Hazel, a young woman with newfound magical weaving abilities, as she embarks on a journey to find her missing mother.

Alongside this major release, GeForce NOW is introducing “Commandos: Origins,” a revival of the classic real-time tactics series. The game returns players to World War II, following Green Beret Jack O’Hara and his specialized team across global missions from the Arctic to Africa, offering strategic gameplay that honors the franchise’s legacy.

The platform is also rolling out significant seasonal updates for popular titles. Fortnite Festival Season 8 introduces pop star Sabrina Carpenter as a performing artist, while Honkai: Star Rail celebrates its second anniversary with version 3.2, bringing new characters and events to the game.

Three additional titles joining the service include “The Talos Principle: Reawakened,” launching April 10 on Steam, “Backrooms: Escape Together,” a cooperative horror experience, and “Diablo III Eternal Collection” via Xbox and PC Game Pass. These additions demonstrate GeForce NOW’s commitment to diverse gaming experiences.

“This expansion represents our ongoing commitment to provide players with instant access to high-quality games across various genres,” stated an NVIDIA rep in their announcement. The service enables members to play without downloads or hardware constraints, with Ultimate and Performance memberships offering enhanced frame rates and reduced latency.

The gaming industry continues to embrace cloud gaming solutions, with GeForce NOW leading the charge in providing seamless access to an extensive library of titles. The platform’s ability to stream demanding games without requiring powerful local hardware has made it an attractive option for gamers seeking flexibility and convenience.

As cloud gaming technology evolves, partnerships between services like GeForce NOW and major game publishers are becoming increasingly important. These collaborations ensure players have access to the latest releases while maintaining high-quality performance standards expected from modern gaming experiences.
