Apple has announced 350 winners from 38 countries in its 2025 Swift Student Challenge, with four exceptional students – Taiki Hamamoto, Marina Lee, Luciana Ortiz Nolasco, and Nahom Worku – receiving special recognition for their innovative app playground developments using Swift programming language.

The challenge, designed to showcase emerging talent in app development, drew submissions spanning diverse applications from astronomical observations to traditional card games. Each winning project demonstrated unique approaches to solving real-world problems through technology.

Amongst the winners, 50 students earned the prestigious Distinguished Winner status, recognising their exceptional contributions to innovation, creativity, social impact, and inclusivity.
