LG’s Advanced HVAC Systems Chosen for Singapore’s Major Logistics Hub

LG Electronics has achieved a significant milestone in Singapore’s industrial sector by securing a contract to supply its cutting-edge Multi V i HVAC system to a newly constructed logistics center in the Tuas area, marking a strategic expansion of its presence in Southeast Asia’s HVAC market.

The state-of-the-art logistics facility, spanning approximately 59,800 square meters – almost equivalent to nine soccer fields – represents one of Singapore’s most ambitious sustainable building projects.

The center is pursuing the prestigious Green Mark Platinum (Super Low Energy) rating from Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority, highlighting its commitment to environmental sustainability.

At the heart of this development is LG’s Multi V i system, featuring advanced artificial intelligence technology and high-performance inverter compressors.

The system’s enhanced design, including an enlarged heat exchanger surface area, delivers better energy efficiency compared to previous models, making it particularly suitable for large-scale logistics operations.

“Aligned with Singapore’s Green Mark certification and the growing sustainability initiatives in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Malaysia, we are committed to pursuing HVAC opportunities tailored to the specific needs of the region,” said Jaeseung Kim, Regional CEO of LG Electronics Asia Pacific.

The timing of this implementation aligns with Singapore’s growing prominence as a regional and global logistics hub. Industry analysis indicates that the HVAC market for logistics centers in Singapore currently represents an annual value of approximately USD 25 million, with projections showing continued growth in the coming years.

Building on this success, LG has outlined plans to expand its HVAC business across Southeast Asia. The company is particularly focused on markets such as Indonesia and Malaysia, where sustainable urban development policies are creating new opportunities for energy-efficient HVAC solutions.

This installation serves as a showcase for LG’s technological capabilities in providing sustainable HVAC solutions for large-scale industrial applications.

The Multi V i system’s ability to optimize temperature control while minimizing energy consumption demonstrates LG’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of modern logistics facilities.

The project’s significance extends beyond Singapore, establishing a benchmark for sustainable HVAC implementations in industrial settings across Southeast Asia.

As regional economies continue to develop and emphasize environmental sustainability, the demand for energy-efficient HVAC solutions is expected to grow substantially.

LG’s strategic position in Singapore’s logistics sector positions the company to capitalize on the region’s expanding industrial infrastructure while contributing to environmental sustainability goals. The successful implementation of the Multi V i system at the Tuas logistics center serves as a model for future projects throughout Southeast Asia.
